I got started in showing dogs with the purchase of my first Rough Collie Zephyr's The Legend Begins "Tristan" CGC,Delta PP,Ch. pointed "Tristan" in 2003.  Iam now continuing with my second rough collie a sable/white bitch Riverrun Bluwave's Serenade "Lyric"Who is also the first to carry the Bluwave name.. I have been showing these two for a total of 5 years combined until Tristan's retirement in Nov 2006. I eventually looked at becoming a professional handler and started handling for others in late 2005. I do not have a Kennel as I only take on a few dogs at any one time, (usually no more than 4 or 5 including my own ) to ensure that each dog gets the proper training and personalized attention that is important to the dogs future in the showring. While most of my clients prefer to keep their dogs at home with them and bring them to the shows or training classes themselves, so they can watch their dogs having fun and know they are in good hands. When I do keep  dogs here I treat them as if they were my own. They eat,live and sleep indoors and have access to a spacious Fenced in yard for them to run in ( for clients that have 2 dogs staying here at the same time,they may request the two dogs play and run together in the yard).We also have a kennel run that is divided into 2 10 x 10 sections in which another dog may be able to be outside while another is contained in the kennel. All dogs are completely supervised when outside. I do take puppies and adults on occasion for conditioning and training and will board them here if the owner so chooses.(Again email me for boarding rates). I truly enjoy showing dogs. This is NOT a job for me but a love and passion that I have and it shines through in the dogs that I handle. I am currently available for handling services; I handle all-breeds but specialize in collies and other herding breeds. I currently have room two- three more dogs.
