February 20-21, 2010 - It was a great weekend for Bluwave Collies at the Elm city K.C. and first company gov. foot Guard shows in Hartford,CT On Sat Vince was BOV and Lyric was RWB under judge Victor Clemente. On Sunday While Vince did'nt take breed Lyric pulled off WB/BOS/BOW for another point under judge Janet Turnage Nahikian. Lyric now has 8 points to date.
March 14, 2010 - Ella went to her very first show she handled it like a pro though she only took Reserve I was very impressed with how she handled things. It was a different sort of flooring ( held at a sports dome) the flooring was made of artifical turff, in which all 3 dogs have never been on, and I must say I am so proud of them not having an issue walking or gaiting on the turff! Though Ella did the "Puppy Wiggle" on the exam seeming to say (oh,yeah, he's coming to pet me...) She gated and showed beautifully.
April 11, 2010 - Ella goes RWB at her second show. She's getting a bit better with the "wiggles" we got alot of nice complements on her and how beautifully she moves. Once she has gotten the " exam down" she will be great! Vince takes BOV and gets a point toward his GR Champion title but nothing in group!
April 24,2010 - At the Tri county collie breeders show Bedford,NY at the morning show Ella wins her puppy class (3 entries) Kenny wins the Am-Bred class (also 3 entries) under Judge Anne Cross unfortunately Vince did'nt do anything. At the afternoon show Ella places 2nd in her class ( again 3 entries) Kenny places 2nd in his class (3 entries) and Vince goes BOS to BOV under judge Betty Peplin.
April 2010- Congratulations to Liz Miller the owner of Rosie (Aka Miley) Bluwave's The Devil In Me on her recent CGC title..Way to go guys!
May 15 -16 2010 - Ella goes goes Winners Bitch at St. Hubert K.C. for her first point under judge Lydia Colman Hutchinson and goes on to take B.O.V. over non other than her brother Vince who took B.O.S. to his "little" sister. A special "Thank you" to Jr handler Kia Pirro for taking Ella in for me and whooping our butts!
Ella goes RWB at Windham County K.C. under judge Donavon Thompson While Vince took the breed and went on to the herding group, were once again we alooded a group placement, but did get pulled in first spot in the cut...
June 5, 2010 - Just received word today that Bluwave's The Devil In Me "Rosie" (formerly miley) was WB/BOS for her first point at Huntingdon K.C. under Judge Arlene Czech. Owner/Handled.. Way to go guys....
June 11, 2010 - Vince goes BOV under Judge Larry Terricone at Long shore south port K.C. show at the Roosevelt park giving him his first major (3pts) toward his GR Champion title. Ella goes RWB.
June 19,2010 - Just got word again that today at the Bryn Mawr K.C. in PA Rosie picked up her 2nd point going WB/BW/OS under Judge Beverly Capstick.. Way to go guys! Keep up the good work!
June 26, 2010 - Ella takes a 2pt RWB in a quality packed WB line up at the Mid-hudson K.C. show under Judge Ken McDermott. unfortunately it was not Vince's day.. he says it was way to hot!
July 7, 2010- Ella goes WB for another point under Judge Cathy Daugherty bringing her to 2 points at the Springfield cluster shows. Vince takes a Select.
July 10, 2010 - Today was'nt Ella's day, she decided to be a wiggle worm so she just won her class. Vince takes BOV giving him his 2nd major (4pts) toward his GR Ch title.
July 12, 2010- Another sad day at Bluwave Collies as we said good-bye to our sweet little Grandma dog Ashly who was 151/2. She raised 4 collies a dobie (who we lost last year) and a litter of puppies.Her little body just could not keep up anymore so we had to let her go. It's very hard loosing 2 dogs in a year. She is now happy free of pain and youthful once again. As she crossed the bridge to be with Logan,Brandy (our golden) and her other favorite person...My father inlaw who loved her as much as I did. Rest well sweet girl your work here is done, and what a great job you did.Please visit Ashly's memorial page.
July 24, 2010 - Ella win's the puppy class of 3 bitches and goes onto take RWB under Sulie Greendale-Paveza at the Putnam k.c. show in Stormville,NY. Vince goes BOS to get another point toward his Gr Ch. title bringing him to 9 pts 2 majors.
Aug 7, 2010 - At the Pioneer Valley K.C. under J: Susan Godek,Ella takes a 2pt RWB in a quality packed WB line up. She just so happened to take Reserve to Vince's 1/2 sister owned by Judy Verchow (Tisbury collies). Ch.Vince takes BOV and earns his 3rd and last major (5pts)needed toward his GR Ch title. with a total entry of 11 (3 dogs, 6 bitches and 2 specials) Ch.Vince now has 14 pts and 3 majors for his Gr Ch.title.
Aug 15, 2010- Ella goes WB/BOS & Vince goes BOV at Bennington county K.C. under Collie Breeder Judge Joan Kirkland.unfortunately no points for Ella but Vince earns another point toward his Gr Ch. title.
Aug 28-29 2010 - Vince takes back to back BOV wins under Judges Lee Brown and Melanie Williams. Vince now has 21 points and 4 majors toward his Gr Champion title. While Ella did'nt do as well, she tried her hardest and placed 2nd in the am-bred class of 3 on Sat and was WB on sunday though no points as the other class bitch was'nt there.but she showed much better on sunday.
